Cristiano Ronaldo will be back in the Manchester United lineup for their October 27 UEFA Europa League match against Sheriff Tiraspol, according to head coach Erik ten Hag.
The Portuguese star, who had refused to be brought in as a substitute during United’s victory over Tottenham at Old Trafford, was left out of the team for Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Chelsea.
Ten Hag and Ronaldo spoke before the player, who had been ordered to perform fitness work alone, returned to training with the team at Carrington on Tuesday.
At a news conference on Wednesday, Ten Hag stated that Ronaldo would be participating on Thursday.
Cristiano will really be on the team tomorrow, Ten Hag confirmed.
“It is not challenging. I believe we covered all the bases and provided all the information. He missed one game, but is now back with the team.
