EFCC finally arrests Okorocha after forcefully gaining access into his Abuja home

The former Governor from Imo state Rochas Okorocha has been finally arrested by agents who are part of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) after they forcefully gained entry to his Abuja residence.

Okorocha the man who was previously refusing to be detained by the operatives, stating that he wouldn’t submit himself to the anti-graft organization without an arrest warrant, was detained and escorted away at 6:48 pm on Tuesday May 24.

EFCC’s spokesperson Wilson Uwajuren said earlier that anti-graft agency agents were at Senator’s house to bring him before the federal tribunal in Abuja for being accused of conspiring with five businesses and other organizations to steal N2.9bn from public resources.

Other defendants in the trial include Anyim Nyererere Chinenye, Naphtali International Limited, Perfect Finish Multi Projects Limited, Consolid Projects Consulting Limited, Pramif International Limited as well as Legend World Concepts Limited.
