The person at the center of the alleged organ harvesting involving former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Mr. Ukpo Nwamini David, has been confirmed by the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Isah Jere Idris, to be 22 years old.
He continued by saying that in granting David’s regular passport, the office strictly followed the law.
The head of the Nigerian Immigration Service said David applied for the passport online using the agency’s portal, and then “he visited the Gwagwalada office of the immigration in Abuja with his birth certificate issued by the National Population Commission, his National Identification Number (NIN), and a letter of indigineship from the Ebonyi State Liason office confirming he is from the state.
According to the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Ukpo Nwamini David was born on October 12, 2000, according to all the information that is currently accessible.
The National Population Commission and the National Identification Management Commission are two government organizations that provide information and documentation to the Nigerian immigration agency.
David’s case, he claimed, was not an outlier because the Immigration Service had issued him an international passport in accordance with the law.
Therefore, Isah Jere Idris urged the general public to be aware that David had been lawfully issued a Nigerian international passport in his capacity as a Nigerian.
When asked if the National Assembly or the British Government had contacted the immigration office on David’s case, the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service responded that neither had.
Recall that on Thursday, Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, were remanded in detention in London after being accused of arranging for a 15-year-old boy to be sent there so that his organs could be harvested.
