When Sheikh Al-Mahfoudh Bin Bayyah, the Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Forum, and his US-based deputy, Pastor Bob Roberts, paid a visit to him yesterday in Washington, he said this.

We have a sizable population and face many difficulties, yet we are making an effort in many areas. I’ve done my best in seven and a half years,” he remarked.

According to a statement by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, Buhari claimed that the government’s top priority is to address issues impacting youths since they represent its hope for a better future.

Buhari urged the gathering to keep focusing on the kids who hold the promise of the future in his speech about the need to develop generations of youth free from religious fanaticism and intolerance.

“Your work is crucial in promoting intercultural understanding and heritage pride, especially among young people.

“Your fantastic project will make it easier for future generations to prepare ahead and coexist peacefully. For our part, we’ll keep working to find solutions to our issues, particularly those that concern youngsters.

According to Bin Bayyah, they came to inform the President and invite him to the presentation of the Abu Dhabi Foundation’s award to him in honor of his excellent contributions to the promotion of peace and security.

According to him, the award was given in keeping with the Foundation’s efforts to combat religious extremism and advance interfaith harmony and discussion.
