Cristiano Ronaldo will allegedly be sold by Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
The club has received a clear message from the Portuguese superstar that he wants to leave Old Trafford this summer, and on Wednesday, July 6, he missed training for the third straight day.
The club has reportedly decided to give in to his transfer requests, according to a new story from The Sun.
Ronaldo had previously been convinced that he would stay at the club following a campaign in which he made 38 appearances in all competitions and scored 24 goals.
In order to avoid becoming embroiled in a protracted transfer issue and turn around their worst Premier League season on record, the club allegedly can’t keep him against his will any longer.
On Wednesday, the club was unsure if Ronaldo would accompany the team on its preseason tour of Asia and Australia.
After letting the club know on Saturday that he wants to depart this summer, Ronaldo claimed family obligations for his absences on Monday and Tuesday, and he once more skipped training on Wednesday.
The superstar is attracting interest from Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Napoli, with the former’s new owner Todd Boehly already holding a meeting with agent Jorge Mendes to discuss a potential transfer.
