Tems, a BET Award-winning vocalist, has written a heartfelt ode to all of her senior female colleagues in the music business.
The singer who made history on Sunday night at the BET Awards by being the first female singer from Nigeria to win an international act award wrote a blog post in honor of female singers.
Taking to Twitter, Tems thanked several people for their existence, including Tiwa Savage, Asa, Omawumi, Waje, Yemi Alade, Simi, Niniola, Ayra Starr, and Temi.
She noticed how impressed she was by their choice to get up and do action.
Tems admitted that whenever she sees them performing on stage, she believes it to be her.
She loves life and can’t wait for it to ebb and flow like a tsunami.
“I’m using today to show my appreciation for all the sisters. Thank you for being alive and for making the decision to get up and take action as a result of someone else being moved by what they saw.
I feel like I am you whenever I witness one of you grace a stage. We’re all triumphant and going to engulf the area like a tsunami. Therefore, before everything begins, be aware that Love is on this side. We demonstrate to the world how it is done.
And if I missed any messages, it was inadvertent since I value your support and wonderful sentiments. I’m sending love to everyone because you deserve it today. Love never ends.
Remember Tems, the first female Nigerian Afrobeats musician to win the best international act award at the 2022 BET AWARDS, who made history and shattered records in the process.
The performer who always brings pride to Nigerians won two honors at the ceremony on Sunday, June 26.
Adding to her accomplishments, Tems, 27, won the Best Collaboration prize for her work with Justin Bieber on Wizkid’s song “Essence.”
