The chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garage Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, has come under fire from veteran Nollywood actor Okey Onyebule, better known as Okey Bakassi, for claiming that either the Igbo or the PDP may be to blame for selling stickers to taxi drivers and riders in order to support Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign.
You might remember that Halimat Rufai, an Ikorodu resident, tweeted a video showing some touts pressuring tricycle drivers to buy Tinubu’s campaign stickers for N500
She went on to say that, typically, the tricycle drivers were required to pay for the stickers, a development that is currently receiving support on social media
However, in response to the video, Mr. Akinsanya claimed that the Igbo or the PDP were in charge of the ticket sales to tarnish Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.
He asked his fans to beat violators and then turn them over to the police.
In the footage published by Punch, he stated in Yoruba, “Don’t give us bad names, whether it is you, the Igbos who are creating these tactics, or opposition PDP.
“If you see someone acting in that way anywhere, beat them and take them to the police station.
Arrest anyone selling stickers bearing the names of parks or garages, and have them call me.
By the grace of God, Tinubu is the president, and his adversaries have no power to interfere, he said
In response, Okey Bakassi questioned why MC Oluomo would include Igbos in the play
The father of three wrote: “Why pull Igbos into all problems in Nigeria? in a comment on an Instagram blog post.
The hatred is pointless and getting boring.
